photoThis year AChoired Taste supported the charity ‘Feeding Futures’ a charity supporting families in rural Kenya, set up in 2010 by Vanessa Bennett a former choir member. A cheque for over £600 was presented on Monday 20th January.

See their website http://www.feedingfutures.org/

‘Feeding Futures both feeds people and teaches them how to feed themselves. We are based in the rural village of Ngwataniro in the Molo region of Kenya. The people there are all farmers and they struggle to meet their families’ daily needs. Since 2010, we have been feeding the 730 children at the primary school there. Now the children are getting a nutritious meal every school day, we have moved on to train their parents in improved food production in order for them to become self-sufficient.’

Each year AChoired Taste chooses to donate £500 to a charity chosen by the members. In December 2012 we gave a cheque for £500 to the charity DEBRA. DEBRA is the national charity working on behalf of people in the UK with the genetic skin blistering condition Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). RNLI performance 2010

I know it seems like an age ago now ( and if I was organised this would have appeared in our Christmas (2010) newsletter) but as I am not sure how many saw the photo on our RNLI performance, at the Cathedral, Old Portsmouth; here it is.
Nice to see all folders being held correctly.
